Sterling Silver Owl Ring

This Sterling Silver Greek Coin Ring s a reproduction of the Athenian owl coin.

The coin originated in Athens in approximately 430- 99 B.C and was used in Greece for over 300 years. Minted more than 2000 years ago it was the most influential of all coins used for legal tender and commerce.

This silver focal piece of this ring is handmade using a wax seal and Eco-friendly recycled sterling silver. Each ring is hand cast, cut and polished. No two will be exactly alike. They are washed in a light patina and tumble polished to give them dimension.

DETAILS:

The focal piece is made of eco friendly recycled sterling silver.

The top is approximately 15 mm round (about the size of a dime)

The band for this ring is 4-5 mm wide. It is hand cut, hammered and soldered from sterling silver.

WHAT HAND CAST MEANS:
Each ring focal piece is hand molded and fired in a kiln in my studio. Slight variations will occur from ring to ring. These differences should not been seen as defects, but rather adding to the charm and uniqueness. The hand cast process makes each piece as one of a kind as the person who wears it.
